Manzanita Youth Sports Complex - North County Youth Recreation Association (NCYRA)

Manzanita Youth Sports Complex was built and is maintained to perfection by the North County Youth Recreation Association. The NCYRA was formed by committee is 1978, and the sports complex was originally 500 acres of undeveloped land. The site was approved in 1980 as fundraising and development efforts began. Local groups such as North Monterey County Mothers Club, The Prunedale Lyons Club, the Artichoke Festival and the Strawberry Festival along with many others were pivotal in the fundraising efforts for the park. In 1999, Manzanita Sports Complex officially opened and is now home to Manzanita Little League, North County AYSO, North Monterey County Youth Softball Association, and a nationally recognized USABMX track. The park provides facilities to thousands of boys and girls ages 4-18 years playing and participating in organized sports each year. The benefit to the youth of our community and around the county is immense.
